If you can’t ignore an insult, top it; if you can’t top it, laugh it off; and if you can’t laugh it off, it’s probably deserved

“If you can’t ignore an insult, top it; if you can’t top it, laugh it off; and if you can’t laugh it off, it’s probably deserved.” – by Russell Lynes

This is hard I tell you, its hard to ignore an insult and it is hard to just laugh with it. What’s harder is accepting it. Most people will be caught in a fight before he can recall this quotation. The best thing to do is to ignore it and be done with it, ok, maybe, after some cursing.

Those people who can laugh it off have more to laugh when they grow old. They are calmer and able to interact effectively to people they just met.

If a man does not make new acquaintances as he advances through life, he will soon find himself left alone

“If a man does not make new acquaintances as he advances through life, he will soon find himself left alone; one should keep his friendship in constant repair.” – by Samuel Johnson

Friends will always be there but when they feel left out they will have to find another companion. Always be thoughtful (always remember) because they are just there waiting for you.

On that note, new acquaintances should not replace your old friends, they should be added and accumulated. A big family is fun.

“If you wish your merit to be known, acknowledge that of other people.” –by Oriental Proverb

These is true of the Facebook community and other social networking sites, if you are a silent observer, nobody will notice you, but if you had become interactive, i.e., commenting to other people post, then people would appreciate it and do the same with yours. They will eventually recognize you fast.

It’s like forgetting to croon another woman when the girl you wanted dumped you.

Always have a goal and Positive Attitude. Because when we have a goal, we want to achieve something. And for not to fall out fast of that goal we need positive attitude to keep us going.

By starving emotions we become humorless, rigid and stereotyped

“By starving emotions we become humorless, rigid and stereotyped; by  repressing them we become literal, reformatory and holier – than thou; encouraged, they perfume life; discouraged, they poison it.” –by Joseph Collins

It is beneficial to be generally happy. Create a life with joy and trials will not be that heavy.

Unable to distract stress and failure will only make you angry and end up with miserable life.

So when you wake up in the morning, wake-up with smile to start a glorious and happy day.

Everything I’ve ever done was out of fear of being mediocre

“Everything I’ve ever done was out of fear of being mediocre.” –by Chet Atkins

You ask yourself, if everything you’ve done were safe so that people will not laugh or talk about you, have you lived you’re life well? Have you achieved as much as you have wanted? Were you really out of people’s attention and were you happy?

You have to admit that being mediocre is part of life. It makes the world more colorful. Never mind people laughing at you or talking about your misadventures because it always happens even when you are not doing anything. Think positive so that you can think of better things and be able to move forward/further.

Success is failure turned inside out … So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit … It’s when things seem worst that you musn’t quit

This is a two way street or double edge knife, you fail or you succeed. What should be remembered here or the key essential to achieve success is preparation. You should know you will not back down even when you are about to crack. Work for it so that you can create solutions when the tsunami hits. Maybe you’ll figure out how to run faster than the tide.
